My missions on this project are the following :​

  • As a Lead Designer :

    • Be the reference person in term of level quality and new game mechanics​

    • Allow all the other Game and Level Designers (4 other people) in my team to express their ideas through meetings

    • Keep the Game Design Document up to date

    • Pay particular attention to the work done by everyone and how it can be improved

    • Make the link between the Lead Programmer and the Lead Artist to ensure the smooth running of the project

    • Plan each week the task we need to do for our weekly sprint

  • As a Level Designer :

    • Produce levels with special attention to different aspects such as cooperation, storytelling through staging, lighting, and difficulty

    • Illuminate the scenes with lights, while taking performance into account so that the game remains playable on the smallest machines

    • Assemble levels into chapters, paying attention to the difficulty curve of the chapters.

  • As a Technical Designer :

    • I quickly made a prototype of our game so that the other Level Designers and Game Designers could quickly start producing levels to see what worked and what didn't. This allowed the developers to focus on the game base without being bothered to create mechanics that might not stay in the final game

    • Script the different events in the levels (meetings, dialogues, etc...)

    • Act as a link between the Design team and the Programming team regarding the tools we need

    • Lighten the work of the Programming team by taking care of simple tasks such as bug correction and development of some mechanics.

    • Create tools to help creating dialogues scenes and events

    • Creation of in-game cinematic such as the one shown below.

You can find below pictures of the game as it is currently. We have a first playable chapter and a tutorial, for about 1 hour of gameplay.
